This is more of a general product error than a "wrong order" mishap. Rewind to 1979, the year of the Sony Betamax's astronomically high debut. With a five-hour recording capacity, the Betamax was a recording device that employed magnetic tape in a cassette to capture film.

But, within months of the Sony Betamax's introduction, almost everyone had already switched to VCR; hence, the Betamax did not last. At the time, the Betamax was also infamously expensive, but it can now be bought on eBay for $12.99. This cumbersome apparatus never fulfilled its futuristic potential.
